The Henderson County Foster Parents Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening foster and kinship families. We focus on support, training, public awareness, communication, and advocacy to promote child safety, well-being, and stability.
Support Services: We offer meals, birthday bags, a resource center, and other essential services to help foster and kinship families.
Peer Support Network & Respite Care: We provide a supportive network system and respite care to help foster parents manage their caregiving responsibilities.
Ongoing Education & Training: We assist foster and kinship parents by offering continued education and training to enhance their caregiving skills.
Recreational Activities for Foster Children: We create opportunities for foster children to engage in fun and enriching activities, supporting their emotional and social development.
Advocacy for Foster Children and Caregivers:
Providing Education & Training Support: We offer resources and training to foster families, helping them build the skills and knowledge needed to care for children in foster care.
Promoting Foster Care Awareness: We raise public awareness about foster care by promoting positive publicity and fostering understanding within the community.
Creating Opportunities for Foster Children: We work to increase opportunities that benefit local foster children, empowering them to thrive and succeed.
